Explore Northern California with fellow RV enthusiasts. A friendly social group for San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley RV owners.
The Los Viajaros RV Club was founded in 1960 by a group of San Jose, California IBM employees who enjoyed to camp. Los Viajaros in Spanish means The Travelers. The RV Club was established as the 1st California branch chapter of the National Campers and Hikers Association (NCHA) based in New York.
Today, the RV Club stands as a separate not-for-profit social organization dedicated to friendship, fellowship and the enrichment of the camping and RVing experience. We welcome all RV types.

Club members hooked-up and planned a “side trip” to Bodega Bay RV Park. The heat in California was unbearable that week, except in Bodega Bay! The park is beautifully maintained by a lovely three-generation family. Well, the one-year-old doesn't do much yet, but "poop and eat". We scouted out the club houses and will definitely make reservations in the future. The park has a variety of games to play and two dog runs (small or large dog) with structures for them to climb over. A coffee shop and restaurant are walkable from your site with plenty of tables to sit and make friends. Unfortunately, there are no views.
There is much to see and do in the area. A 30–45-minute drive north, south or east, you'll find shops, produce stands, restaurants, markets and tasting rooms. Towards Sebastopol, we stopped to view the church in the movie "Birds". Once in Sebastopol, we walked down a street lined with quirky metal sculptures, spoke with busy residents, and stopped to our amazement at the artist's home. My personal favorite is the "crowbar", can't stop laughing. Florence Ave Sebastopol: Visiting Unique Junk Art Sculptures
Another day we packed a picnic and wondered south towards Tomales Bay. Stopped for coffee and peeked into several local shops. When we finally got to Point Reyes Lighthouse, it was cold, windy and foggy. Most likely the light house would be closed. Not defeated, we returned to warmer weather and ate our picnic. And yes again, found a stores to investigate.
Our third day, we choose to rest and enjoy the camping life. Bought an ice cream in town and went to the local farmer's market.
Our Dec. Christmas campout was a complete success and FULL of activities. The mornings and nights were cool, with warm days, as we sat and chatted outside. The two guests left the campout as our new members. Also, members came for a day visit and potluck.
-Thursday, we met at the club house for a “meet and greet” and played Lou’s brain teasers. At the end of the day we met for dinner at the club house and played LRC.
-Friday was a great breakfast with scrambled ham & eggs, pancakes, fruit and juice. The rest of the day was free. Some wondered off to eat at Dunnsville Market and Victoria’s Mexican Restaurant. After lunch, Lou, Boyd, Roger, and Andy played Bocce Ball for 4 hours! No aches or pains reported. Bingo was host by Dave and Diane after dinner.
-Saturday was a free day, the host, Cheryl and Marilyn spend most of the day preparing their Mexican entree. There was a cookie and ornament exchange in the afternoon, and the Mexican Feast followed in the evening. We want to thank all who participated in setting up and tear down and making our campout a success.

Our camping year begins in March and goes through December, set by the Camping Director and Committe 12 to 18 months in advance. Normally, there's a travel time of 2 to 3 hours from the San Jose area, and we camp 3 to 4 nights. Many members add additional days or side trips before or after outing. While members are not required to attend every outing, we encourage fun and comradery.
We welcome the opportunity to enrich our RV club with NEW members. Not only are we a group of RV owners, we are The Travelers who enjoy a common social network of interest and friendship.
